There are many different characters in the Dragon Ball Z Saga that are very unusual. These include both allies and villains which are designed to be comically funny. The Following characters stand out a bit more than others:

Piccolo – Piccolo first meets Goku, the main protagonist of the story, when he was at a martial arts match. The two fought for a very long time, and Goku seemed to be the victor near the end. It is then when Piccolo revealed that his weighted armor was slowing him down and increasing his strength and agility by a large amount.

Mr. Popo – The funny Mr. Popo is really an immortal genie who tends to Kami’s lookout. He is obligated to be a caretaker to the grounds so high up in the sky. He is often thought to represent a “black faced” character and racist character.

Vegita – Vegita is a Saiyan prince and nobility who destroys planets as a training method. His character as well as another Saiyan that he was traveling with were thought to be the only Saiyans left alive after their home planet was destroyed. He is surprised to find that Goku is also a Saiyan and that his powers are great.

Trunks – Trunks is a time traveler from a troubled future. His character is anachronistic existence because he is in the past with his father and mother before they are together. He comes back in time to prevent the destruction of earth by the evil genetic project Cell.
